Drake Shut It Down[MXR Fix]

A Late-Night Rework For The Dancefloor

My electronic dance remix of Drake’s *Shut It Down* takes the original’s late-night, sensual energy and pushes it into a more rhythmic, melodic space. I wanted to give the track a new setting — something that could live on a dancefloor while still keeping the mood and atmosphere that made the original so captivating. The result is my take on *Shut It Down*: more movement, more groove, and a distinctly electronic edge. It’s not about replacing the original. It’s about seeing where I could take it.

How does this feel to you?

Be the first to say how this felt. Pick as many as fit.

Energetic: Made you move. You couldn't sit still.
Nostalgic: Took you back somewhere.
Reflective: Made you think. Turned you inward.
Relaxed: Settled you. Shoulders dropped.
Aggressive: Hard and confrontational. Teeth bared.
Melancholy: Beautiful sadness. The good kind of ache.
Dreamy: Floating, hazy, somewhere else entirely.
Dark: Heavy and shadowy. A little menacing.
Hopeful: Like something's going to be alright.
Euphoric: That hands-in-the-air moment. Pure joy.

When would you play this?

Be the first to say how this felt. A feeling and a moment are different things — this is the moment.

Sunrise: Early hours. The light coming up.
Winding Down: The end of the day. Slowing.
Sunday: Slow morning. Nowhere to be.
The Commute: Getting somewhere. Headphones on.
The Gym: Training. Moving. Pushing.
Late Night: After midnight, when the world has gone quiet.
Working: In the background while you focus.
Alone Time: Just you. Door closed.
Pre Going Out: Getting ready. The night ahead.
The Party: People in the room. Volume up.
