Creating Soundtracksto Your Memories
Melodic electronic music for the moments worth remembering — nostalgia, freedom, hope, and human connection.
What MXR World is
MXR World is a music streaming and discovery platform built around the catalogue of MXR, a South African electronic music producer and DJ. You can listen to mixes and releases, follow series, explore music by mood, read studio notes, and share the memories you attach to a track.
Browsing and listening are free and need no account. Creating one — with an email address or your Google account — is what lets the platform save your library, remember your place in a mix across devices, notify you when a series you follow releases a new episode, and unlock downloads where they are offered. We use your Google sign-in only to identify you; we never post anything or read anything else in your Google account.
Stream mixes and releases
Full DJ mixes, singles and EPs, playable straight from the browser with a player that follows you across the site and remembers where you stopped.
Follow series
Recurring mix series behave like shows. Follow one and new episodes are added to your library as they land.
Explore by mood
Browse the catalogue by how it feels rather than by genre — and through editorial collections built around a specific time, place or state of mind.
Share a memory
Attach the story of where a track found you. Published memories become part of a living archive alongside the music.

Editor's Picks
A short list, changed by hand rather than by algorithm. If you only have time for one thing, start here.
How this works
Nothing here is sorted by what is popular. It is sorted by what belongs next to what.

Night Drive
Long roads and late hours
Long roads and late hours. The N1 at midnight, headlights and house music. Music for the journey.
Editorial
Collections
Records gathered around one idea — a place, a season, a state of mind — with the writing that explains why they belong together.
Golden Hour
Golden Hour
Four minutes of light that changed everything
Warm. Open. The specific kind of unhurried that only exists when you're not sure how much light is left.
Late Night
Night Drive
Songs written somewhere on the N1
Dark. Moving. The kind of music that doesn't require arrival.

Memory Archive: Origins
Where the archive began
Nostalgic. Communal. The feeling of a song becoming something it wasn't when you wrote it.

Recurring series that behave like shows — follow one and new episodes find you.

Journal
Notes from the studio and the road — what a record was made for, and what happened while it was being made.
